Compassionate, Person Centered Therapy
in Washington State
Hannah Stalter, LMHCA
Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
Hi, I’m Hannah, a Seattle native with a deep commitment to helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journeys. Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, self-aware people who feel stuck in patterns they can logically understand but still struggle to change. You may spend a lot of time overthinking, analyzing yourself, or trying to "figure out" why you feel the way you do, yet still find yourself caught in anxiety, shame, self-doubt, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or burnout.
My clients are often neurodivergent, trauma survivors, LGBTQ+, or people who have spent much of their lives adapting to others while feeling disconnected from themselves. Many are used to being the "high-functioning" one while internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or never quite good enough.
In therapy, I aim to create a space that feels collaborative, grounding, and genuine. I believe symptoms make sense in context, and together we work to understand the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck. While insight is important, I also want therapy to feel practical and useful. My approach combines self-understanding with tangible tools, helping clients build self-compassion, healthier coping patterns, and meaningful change outside of session.
I tend to work well with clients who want therapy to feel both relationship and actionable: a space where you can be fully human while also learning skills, perspectives, and strategies you can carry into everyday life.
I love traveling, hiking, concerts, videos games, and food!

Areas of Focus & Approach
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and practical. I help clients identify the thoughts, beliefs, and life experiences that contribute to these patterns, while also building tools for regulation, coping, and behavior change.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of experiences, including:
Anxiety/OCD & Depression
ADHD & Neurodiversity
Trauma & PTSD
Substance use and addiction (harm reduction approach)
Relationship and interpersonal challenges
Self-confidence and self-worth
Gender and identity exploration
Over-intellectualizing or difficulty feeling emotions
Systemic challenges such as poverty, discrimination, or homelessness
I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and ERP, integrating these approaches in a flexible, person-centered way. Above all, I am to provide a supportive, authentic space where insight leads to meaningful, real-world change.
